How to Join

Membership in the Highland Skating Club is open to anyone who shares a love of figure skating–on or off the ice and new members are welcomed throughout the year.  The membership year is July 1st-June 30th.  Registration is now done online via entryeeze.  http://comp.entryeeze.com/Membership/Welcome.aspx?cid=237

Membership Types

First Member $110: Membership for individual skaters who test and/or compete at any and all USFS levels who wish to become home club members of Highland Skating Club. This membership includes a subscription to Skating magazine (one subscription per family). Full membership voting rights for members aged 18 or older.

Introductory Member $50: First time/one-time only membership for individual skaters who have never been members of USFS and plan on testing and/or competing at any and all USFS levels as a home club member of the Highland Skating Club. Full membership voting rights for skaters aged 18 and older and Skating magazine subscription (one per family) is included.

Parent/Guardian Member $30: This membership is required of one parent of any First Member who is aged 17 or younger.  All parents/guardians are welcome to join at this membership level.  This membership has full voting privileges and may compete and test as full USFS members.

Additional Household Member $30: This membership is designed for additional household members of the primary “first” members.  Parents/Guardians should join as “Parent/Guardian” members.  Additional household members aged 18  have full voting privileges and may compete and test as full USFS members.

Collegiate Member (4 yr) $95: This is a four-year full membership at a reduced rate for anyone attending college. This membership receives all benefits of U.S. Figure Skating and Highland Skating Club for four years. Each member may only receive this option one time during their skating career.  You may register at anytime during your college years; the membership will last for four years.

Continuing Adult $70: This is for skaters aged 18+  that are no longer skating, but want to continue to be members.  This is used for alumni and non-skating officials.  This membership includes full membership in USFS, the Skating Magazine, and voting privileges in the club.

Professional Member $70: This membership is for coaches and professional skaters aged 18 or older.  This membership includes full membership in USFS, the Skating Magazine (one per family), and full voting privileges in the club.

Pre-Introductory Member $20: This is a social membership that allows for skaters to participate in all Highland Skating Club social activities.  This includes access to club ice, Holiday Hijinx, Summer Pool Party, Annual Meeting, volunteering, etc.  This membership does not include membership in USFS, the Skating Magazine, or the ability to participate in test sessions, competitions at no-test level or higher, or the ability to vote on club matters or serve on the HSC board.

Pre-Introductory Parent/Guardian Member $10: This is a social membership required for one parent of any Pre-Introductory Member under the age of 18.  This membership allows for skaters to participate in all Highland Skating Club social activities.  This includes access to club ice, Holiday Hijinx, Summer Pool Party, Annual Meeting, volunteering, etc.  This membership does not include membership in USFS, the Skating Magazine, or the ability to participate in test sessions, competitions at no-test level or higher, or the ability to vote on club matters or serve on the HSC board.

Associate Member $30: This is for individual skaters who test and/or compete at any and all USFS levels and belong to a home club other than Highland Skating Club. This membership includes club privileges other than home club status.  Associate members, of any age, have no voting privileges in the Highland Skating Club.

Honorary Member $0: This is a special dues exempt lifetime membership granted by the Highland Skating Club board to members who have shown exemplary service over many years to the Highland Skating Club.  Members who have been granted honorary status may renew each year for life with no fees.  Renewals are not automatic: however, a missed year does not rescind the ability to have honorary status.  Honorary members are full USFS members and may test, compete and have voting privileges.
